Noise Filter is an iMovie plug-in that takes a page out of elementary disturbance reduction school. But who says that unproblematic principles don't ferment? We make developed this plug after an email from Kevin Killion, who pointed us to a unproblematic way astronomers reduce backdrop disturbance in their photographs: they digitally aggregate, and then mediocre multiple pictures of the same portion of the sky. Of track, with moving media the results can be less than stellar (pun intented). We launch out that it does ferment, especially if you make a nip filmed under high-gain, low-light conditions. Our plug works by combining the close n (user configurable from 1 to 10) frames, and averaging them. Therefore, if you make any fast-moving objects in the nip, they will demo ghost trails. Depending on their speed, these trails will be more or less pronounced. Very fast objects (i.e those that appear in merely one or two frames) will disappear whole (which is, of track, the definition of disturbance reduction).
