PowerRIP X is a discharge redesign of the previous PowerRIP 2000 interpretation. It uses Apple's OS X and CUPS (The Common Unix Printing System) to create a seamless printer integration with the operating scheme.В After you install this software, you will not find a PowerRIP X application folder or fork program to launch. This is a newly approach to PostScript printing. Now to setup PowerRIP X you only motive to create a printer, one time, in Print Center and choose it in your application. Apple's Print Center on 10.2 or the Printer Setup Utility on 10.3 meld with CUPS to auto launch the PowerRIP application, which runs until the file is printed, PowerRIP then goes away until it is needed again. Printers can be driven by USB, USB to collimate, and Ethernet via TCP/IP, AppleTalk, and ATPrint.В What's New: Version 7.14 supports wholly previous features. Support has been added for the Epson Stylus PRO 4000 printer. New colouring tables were created for the Epson Stylus PRO 3000 for the following papers Photo Quality Ink Jet Paper, Epson Glossy Paper, Epson Professional Media Photo Paper, Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper, Epson Matte Paper Heavyweight. The newly colouring tables for the 3000 will increase colouring saturation and reduce grain on these five wallpaper types. Major features bear been added for Spot Color digest on wholly printers. Users can directly print DCS separations and narrate the RIP to recompose the colors including slur colors. Special lookup tables convert the named slur colors, such as Pantone, to the nearest CMYK colouring match within the printer's colouring gamut. Colors falling away the gamut of the printer are reproduced as bootleg. Users can edit the out of gamut colors using RGB, LAB or CMYK values and a newly feature in the PowerRIP X utility. The newly slur colouring editing feature enables users to strength a colouring to agree within the gamut of the printer or raise an acceptable match.
