Nestopia is a Nintendo NES emulator for Mac OS X. Nestopia is by far the near compatible of any NES emulator for Mac OS X. Using cycle-exact emulation, it is able to endure titles that rely on precise timing, and which therefore break under other emulators. It supports five duplicate sound chips and an astonishing 143 mappers. This accurate emulation comes at a cost; Nestopia requires an 800MHz machine for good speed; but if you have one, this the scoop available NES emulation for Mac. Nestopia was initially developed for Windows by Martin Freij. The original sources may be downloaded from the Nestopia abode page. The toolkit used to formulate the Macintosh port, including the bridge code to connection it to Nestopia, will be available in the longer term from my developer pages. Certain portions are available immediately, and more will be added in the future. Further information is also available from the enclosed Read Me file. What's New: Version 1.1.2: Added support for Game Genie codes. Added support for .nil files. Added "Trim Border Area" option.
