Terrabrowser is an internet browser for satellite photos and topographical maps with built in documentation for Garmin GPS receivers. Download waypoints from your GPS to show on the maps, edit them, upload new waypoints to your receiver. Maps are obtained from the Microsoft Terra Server which serves data provided by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). Includes extensive bookmarking documentation, persona cache, and many other features. Terrabrowser aims to be compatible with the rest of the GPS reality, so it uses the XML based GPX file criterion which allows leisurely exchange (file, copy/paste, scuff & dip) with other GPS programs for Macintosh, Linux, Windows, etc. which documentation this format. The NMEA criterion protocol is also supported which allows for a "know tracking" modality to show the user's realtime position on a satellite map (cached or not). Note that this alpha variant is a dispatch rewrite in Cocoa and is not fully functional - the GPS features are not nevertheless dispatch, and other features contain bugs or get not been transfered over from variant 1.1 nevertheless. What's New: Version 1.5a5: Added "extremely" zoom option - you can today zoom in to 0.25 metre resolution (twice as far as before) on urban area (discolor) maps!
